The Dream Team

STEPPING UP IN COLLABORATION

Interacting with 18 other students, 4 mentors, and 1 professor

has challenged my collaborative skills as each one of them has brought a wide range of backgrounds and different working styles.

For the final presentation with the Google mentors, my role was to impersonate

assigned personas resembling Generation Z.

FINDING MY VOICE

Being able to take part in SCADpro collaborative studio was an honor and my first big step into the professional world. As the only Sophomore, the only teenager, and the youngest team member, adopting into a situation working with experienced Seniors and Master students was not inside my comfort zone. Everyone seemed more proficient and adept which made me feel not worth being part of the project.

However, the more I was taking part, the other students helped me gain confidence and bring my best abilities to the table, in other words, being myself. Collecting 1800 data points after interviewing 28 participants, and affinitizing the data into 13 useful insights in 48 hours was a rigorous process.

VALUE OF MONEY (AND LIFE)

In order to understand the financial situation that the users of Generation Z are going through and develop prototypes to enhance the financial experience with Google Pay, having financial knowledge and understanding the value that money contains was crucial. As a Generation Z myself, it was a meaningful process to execute what I can strongly empathize and stand up for.

Learning about the values of money has earned me the biggest lesson on the worth of money and attitude of approaching it. The more values I had about money, the more it aligned with my current values in life. Values is a concept that is applicable to all subjects. I strongly attach importance to values such as consistency (long-term investment), longevity, flexibility, and stability, applying to my financial activities, daily routines, career building, relationships, and life.
